4.5
Alex Kibkalo plead guilty to theft of trade secrets on Monday for leaking Windows 8 code prior to it's official launch. Alex, a former Microsoft employee, was sentenced to three months in federal prison and a fine of $22,500 to be paid to Microsoft. He worked as a software architect for seven years at Microsoft prior to departing the company in 2012, he left to pursue a job at 5nine Software afterwards. This story brought to light a issue where Microsoft would troll user content within the Live email service for copyright infringement, they have recently came out and abolished the practice in the future.

So basically, you are just going to believe something off the web? You must be really gullible. You must never read the Terms of Use or Terms of Service when you join Xbox Live and/or Hotmail. Matter of fact, even Sony, Apple, Google, or any other company that you use, say that. When you sign up for their service, they are allowed to do whatever they want. It says it in their contract when you sign up. If you were to own a company, then your statement would be valid and could you for once, try to type in english? Thank you.

Let me add some more companies.
Facebook, Twitter, TTG, PayPal, Amazon, Instagram, Skype, LinkedIn, Ebay, GoDaddy, Steam, Netflix. Lol, just want to make a point that anything and everything you ever have made an account for, you have electronically signed their terms of use/etc. You can't get away. Go delete your FB account? They actually never delete it. It is stored in a location still. And if you ever tried to log back in you will be able to. It is basically just hidden from the web. But still there for the companies to use and sell. There are companies that their job is to buy your data and just resell it to other companies. Your data is worth like 20cents to companies. The less accounts you have online the more it is worth because you are barely known about or anything.

Point is, if you tried to go to the data companies and get your information you basically wouldn't be able to. They have your shopping habits, what you like to watch, how you spend your time, when you work, everything.

I watched a video of this lady who tried to get the data these companies had. There were 200 companies she found. And only 12 let her look at what they had collected on her. But they still keep the copies because of the agreements you signed to join the websites.

My favorite part of this is how OP just got shut down repeatedly again and again.

It's not just Microsoft that do it, loads of the big company's do they exact same, I guess though this makes you a kid too for not knowing going by your logic.

That seems extremely low for what he did.

Big note here.

" Microsoft would troll user content within the Live email service for copyright infringement"

He showed everyone how Microsoft was screening all of our emails which is against our right to privacy.

It is not against any implied rights to privacy we may have because by signing up for their email service we agree to them inspecting us whenever they feel like it.

Yeah the agreements we sign people don't really look into them.
