Project Morpheus revealed by Sony at GDC

PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has officially revealed the PS4's virtual reality headset currently codenamed "Project Morpheus" at GDC late yesterday. Yoshida brought an end to months of rumors about the supposed device when he formally announced the device. The currently released technical specifications can be found below with further official comments.

this is where it all begins if they do this right i can see it going a long way i would deff invest in one of these if they were to make one for xbox

I could eventually see this being great, but not for a while.
But to be honest, isn't the whole gaming experience involved around the controller? With no controller, it won't feel like gaming :/

Hopefully there is footage released soon. Would love to seem some gameplay with this used.

The only negative that wasn't mentioned here, is the fact that it has to be wired with a hdmi cord. There is too much latency when wireless, hopefully there will be a wireless one down the road though.

Won't be out for a few years and will cost $300+ while requiring PS Eye

I think this is the future, however I don't think we are there yet. Nevertheless I like being able to actually see inside the room I am in and doing other stuff too. Wouldn't very social with friends who are physically there with you.
