Xbox One drops to £399.99 in UK

The U.K. portion of Microsoft has released that it plans to slash the Xbox One console by £30 leaving it at £399.99, this cut makes it just £50 above it's main competitor, Sony's PS4.

This price goes into effect Friday along with a limited edition bundle set to include the Console and a digital copy of their upcoming FPS Titanfall for the same new price. Sadly in the U.S. this bundle will sell at the same price the Xbox One has had since it's launch.


Do you think Titanfall is enough to push the Xbox One over Sony's PS4 sizable sales lead?

I understand where you are coming from however it's about god dam time they did something for the UK players because usually we get ignored or left out, US players tend to get the majority of he exclusives.

On a different note they really need to make cheaper options perhaps selling it without the kinect or smaller hard drives


Agreed. Its about time the UK got something like this. Normally its just the US which get it.
Also if Microsoft really want to make themselves competitive, cut out the kinect for some editions which makes it 80 cheaper, and cheaper than the PS4. It's a good pricing strategy which IMO should have been used from the get go.

I have a feeling this current strategy is probably to test the waters and see if it can close the sales gap in the UK, if its successful then it will be implemented in more regions


Also if you work out the exchange rate, the UK people are paying something like 30% more than the US is. So don't cry about it Americans, it is still in effect more expensive in the UK than the US.

Take the Kinect out!! Its not stupid I use my Kinect for everything without it I would not have got a Xbox one.


I wish they would have a Kinect free version. It would make it like 100$ cheaper, and you don't really need it. Its just recommended.


it would prob bring in more customers to im sure there was people that didnt have that extra 100$ and had to settle for a ps4
