Titanfall Xbox 360 'coming along really well'

Titanfall producer Drew McCoy has offered an update on the development of the Xbox 360 version of Respawn Entertainment's eagerly anticipated shooter.

In a post on gaming forum NeoGAF, McCoy said the 360 version is "coming along really well".

"Oh, and for all the speculation going on about the 360 version. Its coming along really well, Bluepoint is full of phenomenally talented devs," he said.

"We (being Respawn) have been pushing for them to have all the time they need to make it as good as possible, which means extra time for them to polish it up. We'd all like it to be day and date, but a better game a few weeks later is better than an unfinished one earlier."

Respawn Entertainment founder Vince Zampella revealed in late January that the Xbox 360 edition of Titanfall has been ported by Texas based studio Bluepoint Games.

Bluepoint previously worked on a number well-received HD upgrades for Sony titles including the God of War HD Collection and the Ico / Shadow of Colossus PS3 pack. It also ported Flower and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale to the PS Vita, and handled the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Konami.

Titanfall Xbox 360 was originally planned for a March 11 release, alongside the PC and Xbox One versions, however, it will now be released on March 25.

According to a Twitter statement from EA, the delay was introduced to "give Bluepoint time to put the finishing touches on the game".

This sums up GTA V's launch perfectly, Respawn don't want a GTA V launch.

It's sad that even with R* pushing back GTA V a few MONTHS later than they planned, GTA: 0 still wasn't ready.

This sounds like it's coming along so good. I've seen game play and it looks amazing on PC. Can't wait to play it on 360.

Really glad to hear, but most likely it wont be anywhere near as good as the Next Gen version.
