Sony teases new ‘slim’ announcement

Sony is inviting select press to a breakfast briefing next week for the release of… something slim. Could it be the PS Vita 2000?

“Following the biggest launch in PlayStation history, join us for an introduction to the slimmest,” reads the invite.”

The event takes place January 30th at 9am in London. Last year Sony released the PS Vita 2000 in Japan – it’s 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than the existing model, and features an LCD screen rather than OLED. It also comes with 1GB of built-in memory.

I honestly haven't seen Sony do anything significantly big with their hand held consoles in a couple years now. Disappointed.

It is hilarious that the only thing they can announce for PS Vita in 2014 is a slim replacement (alongside Vita TV), no first party developers are available to make exclusives for it anyway.

Niche and Indie games from here on. With remote play being a key focus in reference to Vita.

Wow I just remembered I had an old PSP in my room lol, haha fun times in the car xD
