Xbox One to get 60 frames per second live sports channels

24/7 channels will deliver sports video content with integrated real-time stats and highlights.

Microsoft’s Xbox One will soon deliver live sports content streamed at 60 frames per second through 24-hour dedicated channels.

Through a partnership with NeuLion, the service will offer live sports feeds, on-demand content and real-time stats and analysis.

“NeuLion has enabled us to merge high-definition video with real-time data to create an interactive experience that is only available on Xbox One,” said Wil Mozell, GM of the Sports Entertainment Group at Microsoft.

No solid launch for the service has been mentioned.

I wonder how much the sports channels cost. This would be nice for basketball.

Batable 60fps is great.Yes you can go higher but it doesn't really matter because after a while your eyes won't even register the fps difference

but you will notice how terrible 30 FPS is when you see it again. It's yuck.

60 FPS, at last. Now if only they can finally get the games to run at 60 FPS. I remember the quality on 360 was pretty damn bad for videos. That been fixed too on the One?

Dorkus That's actually not bad, but they can still improve the FPS.

I think 60 FPS is good enough. You're not going to notice any frame rate issues, it's going to look very smooth. Anything over 60 frames a second is kind of over bored, at least on consoles.

Flacco I hope we don't have to pay extra for it... but we probably will. The NFL app is okay, but it doesn't really get the job done.

I definately prefer the direct TV features than the Xbox one nfl app can offer.
