Bethesda may be planning to release The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Xbox One and PS4

OnlySP captured a screenshot of Bethesda's Skyrim website showing next-gen versions of the game listed alongside the existing Xbox 360, PS3 and PC editions.

It's unclear if the listing, which has since been removed, was an error or an inadvertent early reveal, but we've contacted Bethesda for clarification.

Adding fuel to the fire, a number of European Reddit users have reported receiving an email from Bethesda teasing a "very special announcement" this Sunday, January 12.

Skyrim launched in November 2011 and went on to win multiple Game of the Year awards. In June 2013, Bethesda released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. The product features the main game as well as DLC packs Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

Two months prior to the release of Legendary Edition, Bethesda said the Skyrim development had moved on to its next project after more than 16 months of post-release support for the title.

Zoidberg I bet the graphics would be AMAZING on next gen... Imagine being able to install mods and stuff.


Sadly i highly doubt there would be mod support.

Wow that would be amazing, Skyrim is such a fun game to play I would imagine it on the next gen consoles!

They have to do it, Skyrim is one of the best games I've ever played and should definitely come to Next Gen consoles. If they up the graphics it will be even more amazing.

I could see them porting it over.. the current generation of consoles would showcase the graphics of Skyrim much better than the last.

Cyimking I hope that the special announcement is for Fallout instead of Skryim. Yes Skryim is a good game and it will be much better on the next gen... but unless they make a whole new story line with new features, guns , etc... then it's a waste of money. I don't want to replay an old game.

New guns on Skyrim? There isn't any guns to begin with?

Plus, with MS's new rules on modding, Bethesda should be able to finally incorporate PC mods onto this game, right?

aaaaaand PC version is still better than the vanilla console TES/FO games. pc mastur raec. Glad I started playing Skyrim on pc. 400+ hours on xbox and I wish all of that was on pc. a huge step up.

Only bad thing is we have to wait 11 months XD


meh maybe not fingers crossed that its not gonna release it december guess we will find out sunday


I'll be waiting! Maybe it will come sooner than expected :)
