Bethesda may be planning to release The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Xbox One and PS4

OnlySP captured a screenshot of Bethesda's Skyrim website showing next-gen versions of the game listed alongside the existing Xbox 360, PS3 and PC editions.

It's unclear if the listing, which has since been removed, was an error or an inadvertent early reveal, but we've contacted Bethesda for clarification.

Adding fuel to the fire, a number of European Reddit users have reported receiving an email from Bethesda teasing a "very special announcement" this Sunday, January 12.

Skyrim launched in November 2011 and went on to win multiple Game of the Year awards. In June 2013, Bethesda released The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition. The product features the main game as well as DLC packs Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn.

Two months prior to the release of Legendary Edition, Bethesda said the Skyrim development had moved on to its next project after more than 16 months of post-release support for the title.

ESO hasn't even been fully released yet. It doesn't look too bad in my opinion


I think it looks quite cool, I don't know if I'll get it though.

The trailer really made me excited. The price per month put my mind off of the game.

My thing is this, even if it does come out for next-gen there would be no point in me getting it unless it comes with new content. While I love skyrim a simple bump in graphics is no where near enough for me to re-buy a game I played into the ground once before and in my opinion if they never would have stopped making dlc for skyrim to begin with, I would most likely still be playing to this date.

I played it once on 360 but only passed the first quest lol.
