Untethered evasi0n7 iOS 7 Jailbreak released

4.4
Apple released iOS 7 in September and despite a lock screen exploit that was quickly closed with a patch, there hasn't been any recent jailbreaks released for the mobile OS. That changed early on Sunday morning when the well know Evad3rs hacker team released their latest version of evasi0n. This new build, called evasi0n7, is supposed to work on all versions of iOS 7 released to date.

The program itself runs on both Windows and Mac and allows users of iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch products to gain deeper access to the OS, mostly to run apps that are not distributed by Apple via official channels. That includes Cydia and apparently the creator of that program, Jay Freeman, was surprised at the sudden release of the jailbreak program, at least according to his Twitter messages:

I thereby have no clue what will or will not work, or even what evasi0n7 includes; I hope that people bear with me as I figure this all out.

As with any jailbreak program, running this software is not recommended for the casual owner of Apple's mobile products. It could affect a device's battery life, security set ups and much more so people who install evasi0n7 do so at their own risk.

Debris Cydia is buggy and there are no tweaks, wait for a newer jailbreak build.

Cydia is fine for me and there are tweaks, just not that many yet.

The Cydia creator himself came out and said it is unstable, he had no advanced notice to start updating Cydia.

Georgasm It's not stable, I wouldn't go anywhere near it.

the best option in this case is to wait for a more stable release i guess

I would be doing just that. Unless you are inpatient it is a much smarter option

Just a heads up to everyone. DO NOT use this. At least not for about a week. nothing works with ios7, well at least the majority of the shit doesn't. Wait until a week and the majority of the things will be updated accordingly.
