The Division trailer shows off Snowdrop engine

4.8
Ubisoft showed off the engine powering Tom Clancy's The Division in a new trailer at VGX on Saturday.

The Snowdrop Engine behind the PC, PS4, and Xbox One title allows for greater environmental reactivity, from ambient light changes over the passing of a day to individual pieces of glass shattering from a car's headlights. The abandoned New York City setting will also visibly reflect accumulating snow.

Aside from playing customizable avatars, players on tablets can help allies and hinder foes with GPS-enabled drones. Though the open-world shooter was first revealed along with PS4 in February, Xbox One players will receive exclusive content throughout the game's lifetime.

The Division is set for release in the second half of 2014.

I'm really liking the look of Tom Clancy's the Division, the online open world aspect really appeals to me as a gamer. I will most likely be picking this one up for the PS4 or PC on release

This actually looks really good. Finally they are taking more detail into games, however I know from experience that more detail usually means less work and effort on the story of games. :
