Xbox One stock to be held in reserve at Microsoft Stores on launch day

If Xbox One console pre-orders are sold out at nearby specialist games stores, you may be able to pick one up at your local Microsoft Store.

Microsoft told Gamespot that all of its official stores throughout Canada and the US will have non pre-order stock for sale on launch day.

Supply is limited, and since you can’t pre-order these ones, you’ll probably want to be there early – but you may still have a better chance than if you queue up for the midnight launch at EB Games or Gamestop; many chain store outlets have sold through their day one allocations already. Online retailers like Amazon have also run out.

You can find your nearest Microsoft Store using the company’s locator tool.

The Xbox One launches in North America and West Europe on November 22.

Yes, I highly doubt that the Xbox One's price will drop by a significant amount within a few months.

Though every time I have gone to the store, I haven't seen any in stock.

Only people on craigslist selling theirs for $800.


I didn't pre-order mine sadly. I'm not too hung up on it though seeming that i can just wait until demand falls some time next year

I think they may drop it a little and/or make a few deals with some new games with it :) But i don't think they will drop it loads just because it's christmas :/

Christmas sales. That's when I'm getting mine. It'll be cheaper and feel more exciting.

It's kind of expected that everywhere will be sold out. The console is in insanely high demand at this point
