CoD: Ghosts high-res texture pack takes up to 30 minutes to download

The high-res texture pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts on PlayStation 4 will take around 10-15 minutes to install, Infinity Ward has said. It can take up to 30 minutes though, if you’re playing while it’s still installing in the background. “Unfortunately, there’s no way to see the progress of when it’s complete,” said the developer. “Once complete, you’ll see the high-res textures in-game.” Infinity Ward announced earlier this week the day-one patch for Call of Duty: Ghosts brings the single-player campaign up from 720p to 1080p.

OmittingCoder So you need to download a texture pack for the PS4? It's a next gen console for christs sake you shouldn't need to download something to see hi res textures.


That has nothing to do with the console but rather the game itself.

I can't really tell the difference between 720p, and 1080p at all. They both look the same to me!

You can actually see the difference though definitely if you don't play PC

Agreed, only difference would be less blurry and high colours an shading. Battlefield 4 on next gen graphics, now that's something you can definitely tell is next gen.

But if people can afford 50" plus tvs then why wouldn't they buy the better console in the first place? Lol.

What could possibly take 30 minutes worth of downloading? Dog hair textures? The game alone on PS3 and 360 is blurry enough as is scenery wise.
