Call of Duty: Ghosts PS4 suffering frame rate issues – report

4.7
Call of Duty: Ghosts is reportedly not as silky smooth on PlayStation 4 as on platform rival Xbox One.

Word of frame rate performance issues affecting the PS4 version of Ghosts have cropped up in a number of places as the next-gen review embargo has ended.

Various sites have updated their reviews to mention specific next-gen information, and both Polygon and IGN make specific mention of frame rate issues with the PS4, but not the Xbox One.

Giantbomb reports that Infinity Ward is “working on a patch to correct the performance issues”.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be available for both new consoles when they arrive this month; The Xbox One on November 22, and the PS4 on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe and other PAL territories.

No none of us did :/ the only talk about ghost's and frame rates was for xbox one and the 720p 30fps post :/

that makes no sense as ps4 is apparently "50 % more powerful" why would the xbox one struggle at 720p 30fps and not the ps4? there the same the only difference is the fact the xbox one can do more

haha, you will get so much hate from the sony fans :L to be honest its kind of funny how something like this happened. so much for the "50% more power".

Ouch, right in the fanboyism

I Dont think its fair to judge either console on how they play ghosts... Its been causing everyone problems- which suggests its the game, not the console.

I knew some idiot like you would make some stupid comment like that.

He's correct and I find this ironic how it's XB1 with the resolution problems

It doesn't have a resolution problem, Microsoft isn't forcing dev to go 1080p, unlike another company. Remember the the xbox one version had frame rate issues too when they set it to 1080p. Putting back now to 720p solve that.

Its not the hardware, its the developers still figuring out the new architecture on the consoles. E.g. Forza 5 runs @ 1080p with 60FPS so it is possible. It will just take a while until all developers figure it out. The frame rate issues on COD Ghosts aren't down to the PS4 or X1, its down to Infinity Ward. They just want COD ghosts to release as normal and run smoothly.

Microsoft probably paid them to say that so people would cancel pre-orders and switch

Some people were dropped on their heads as a baby. You were clearly thrown out the window at 100km/h into a wall.
