Xbox One and Kinect video shows off voice dashboard navigation

4.4
Xbox One is barely weeks away but if you just can’t wait to see how Microsoft’s new console functions, here’s a video showing off dashboard navigation using Kinect-powered voice commands.

The video shows a user switching the console on; loading a video, opening the activity feed; joining a game; recording footage; sharing the captured footage; watching TV; snapping to Internet Explorer; accepting a Skype call; and switching the console off – all in an unrealistically short period of time.

The video was posted on the freshly-updated Xbox One section of Xbox.com, which is full of things you already know, but neatly collated.

The Xbox One launches on November 22 in North America, western Europe, and associated PAL territories including Australia and New Zealand. Here’s the video, courtesy of AllGamesBeta.

ADaaaMxxx Wouldn't it be quite annoying if someone came into your room and just said "Xbox off" and it turned off when you are in the middle of a game...

i was thinking the same thing partys are also gonna be annoying with everyone shouting at their xbox to do stuff lol
That would be stupid and that is why it has voice recognition...

THCv3 Cool but no one goes from a movie to a game to a show to a skype call in 30 seconds.

they're just demonstrating the features, would you rather watch them play the game for 2 hours and listen to them in a skype call?

Yeah they're just displaying the highlight feautres. Recording looks killer! GO microsoft! Looking forward to this XB1 FTW

Pashtun You can have voice commands on the PS4 without a dumb camera/kinect. You use an ordinary mic. TTG wouldn't post this type of good news because they are bias toward the xbox one.

no.
ttg doesn't post that because everyone knows about it already. not a lot of people know about the kinect 2.0 and all the new features it brings.

No, everyone knows about what the Kinect 2.0 does because that's all they talked about at E3. And, their **** CoD Ghosts. No one knows about using a normal mic for PlayStation.

Honestly, I didn't know that the PS4 did that, until I read this comment!

Lmao. Still, the Kinect 2.0 will be 100 times better than anything that has to do with voice commands on PS4 and everyone knows that, it is clearly shown in this video.
