GTA Online 'Stimulus Package' deployment delayed

Ongoing bugs prevent free in-game cash distribution until next week

Rockstar has delayed plans to distribute the first half of the $500,000 of in-game cash promised to GTA Online players this week.

The so-called 'Stimulus Package' was promised to users as compensation for the issues that have plagued the online game since its launch on October 1.

The firm had previously announced plans to distribute $250,000 in game cash to players this week (ending Friday, October 25), but this has been delayed owing to ongoing bugs still plaguing the multiplayer mode.

"We of course want to ensure that game progress loss issues are sufficiently sorted before distributing the GTA$ to everyone," said Rockstar in a statement today.

"We have a few more tweaks and fixes to make in a new title update that will hit sometime next week and then we will distribute the cash," it added.

I expected this. I'm pretty sure this was one of there first full online experience.

This is getting ridiculous! I mean it's been over a month of the release with a bunch of delays before the game was out. There shouldn't be so much bugs and delays.

Dreams another delay thats new they put all their effort into the online and still fell short should have put it into story mode instead


Yes but even though they worked hard on online , every game will have glitches and bugs when it first come out , they will be working hard on getting this out soon so people should just be patient and wait :/


glitches and bugs are one thing i can deal with that but a unplayable game for a week and losing multiplayer and singleplayer progress is a bit over the top just glad its all fixed now for the most part

It's only 500K, besides you could only buy a nice car and mabey an apartment with that money.


You can buy a very good super car the vacca and the 205k apartment -_- ...
