Call of Duty: Ghosts PC only requires 40GB of space, 6GB of RAM

4.5
Call of Duty: Ghosts will only require 40GB of hard drive space on PC, rather than the 50GB an unofficial system requirements list Nvidia released last week. However, the game will still require 6GB of RAM and a 64-bit operating system.

Below are the official Minimum System Requirements:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX®: DirectX® 11
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.

Are you ready for the game’s launch on November 5? I bet there’s going to be a lot of upgrading going on in the next few months as people bring their PCs in line with new console requirements.

6GB of RAM and a GTS 450 minimum? Wow, this game is not going to be graphically intensive at all....

If it needs 6 gigs of ram then what's gonna happen with the PS4 as the PS4 only has 5 available gigs of ram? (other 3 gigs are reserved for operating system)

Urf Oh, OK. Only 6GB of RAM and 40G of space. Too much for a **** game.[/quot

The Xbone and PS4 have 8gb of ram to split between the cpu and the apu. What uses the ram is probably the "fish A.I". We need this kind of update. The 4gb standard for pc games needs to die. Our systems are far more powerful than what a game like COD will need to run on.

40GB seems excessive but what ever.

TurtleOrgans how is this news?? most people who PC game have more than 6GBs of ram

Yes, but that is dedicated to the game in general. Meaning 8 gigs is pushing it. 16 gig rigs are seeming more feasible as the industry progresses. Before that was 'overkill' for the average gamer. Older games required 4 and below. Look up a few 'system requirements' for older games and you'll see what I mean. Games are becoming resource hungry now. Black Ops 2 was a base of 15ish gigs on PC, not including DLC.

I don't mind the 40GB of space nor do I mind the 6GB of ram.
I don't know why anyone with anything less than 6GB of ram would even try to play a PC game in the first place.
