Call of Duty: Ghosts PC only requires 40GB of space, 6GB of RAM

4.5
Call of Duty: Ghosts will only require 40GB of hard drive space on PC, rather than the 50GB an unofficial system requirements list Nvidia released last week. However, the game will still require 6GB of RAM and a 64-bit operating system.

Below are the official Minimum System Requirements:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit
CPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Hard Disk Space: 40 GB
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or better
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card
DirectX®: DirectX® 11
Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online Multiplayer.

Are you ready for the game’s launch on November 5? I bet there’s going to be a lot of upgrading going on in the next few months as people bring their PCs in line with new console requirements.

Uniison For those of you who can't play this now, just get an Xbox and all your problems are solved. Who know's, you might enjoy it? :P

An Xbox is certainly the cheaper alternative to be able to play the game. The ease of use is also an upside. People could also upgrade their PC components if they know what they are doing

Im aware that sometimes the disc size and install size are a bit different. But comparisons with games of this size are few. The only one that comes to mind is Max Payne 3it had 35 GB recommended HD size and shipped on 4 discs, which is still quite a bit. Hardly a stretch that a 40 GB game would need 5 discs, or thereabouts.

Balloons lol there just saying this to make as their games are amazing picture and quality, honestly a 2006 computer can run call of duty and 40gb is RIDICULOUS

A 2006 computer would not be able to run call of duty ghosts. The Minimum system requirements are put out by the manufacturer for a reason, while there is a possibility of them being slightly exaggerated they can't be too far from the actual minimum

I'm not too happy to see that the game requires 6GB or RAM. My PC only has 4 and i can't really afford to upgrade at this point

Seems 8GB RAM is going to be the new minimum soon.
