PS4 party voice chat will support up to eight users

4.5
Commenting on a PlayStation Blog post, PlayStation social media manager Sid Shuman confirmed party voice chat on the PlayStation 4 will support up to eight users, just like the Vita. Speaking of the Vita, the two platforms will be able to communicate with each other via party voice chat, which will be great for titles with cross-play. The PS4 is due on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe and beyond.

8 People in one party sucks. Everyone tries to talk a once, then people start yelling and it gets louder and louder. It's **** annoying.

Here we go..
Sony are always one step behind, The fact that PS3 never had this in the first place makes me laugh.

Dang, I didn't even know that they didn't have this. I guess I just got so used to it on the 360 that I thought the ps3 already had it.

Thank god that they finally have party chat, lol.
At least now we will be able to talk to friends without being in the same game/lobby with them.

More people means less kicking and less arguing. While that's cool, I think they should just eliminate party chat because game chat has been DEAD for years.

This is really good news, i just hope they increased it by mabey 4 more players than it would be perfect.

They should've had this ages ago on PS3, I love it on 360. And people saying that it's been on Xbox for 10 years..? What... It wasn't even on the 360 at release, it came later in an update. Just shows what Microsoft can do since they're an amazing software company.

I think this is good for Sony. Yes the Xbox has had this for ten years, but any more than 10 would just be to much. its already hard to understand eight people talking at once.

I hope the Xbox can have more than 8 people, it's just not enough.
