PS4 party voice chat will support up to eight users

Commenting on a PlayStation Blog post, PlayStation social media manager Sid Shuman confirmed party voice chat on the PlayStation 4 will support up to eight users, just like the Vita. Speaking of the Vita, the two platforms will be able to communicate with each other via party voice chat, which will be great for titles with cross-play. The PS4 is due on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe and beyond.

I wouldn't at all call this catching up.


I find it funny how you call party chat "catching up" yet the PS2 had something called the eye toy before the XBOX360 had Kinect but no one **** complained about that.


nobody gave a shit about that eye toy. my friend had it. i didnt think it was cool.

I hope the xbox doesn't make it so more than 10 people can join a party, it'd be pretty crazy having that many people talking.


It's 8 at first. But you can always put your party on inv only
