Battlefield 4 devs 'highly recommend' 14GB install on Xbox 360

4.6
Battlefield 4 players on Xbox 360 will be required to install 14 gigabytes of data to "have the best experience possible".

A post on an an FAQ page has broken down the various installation packages that will be required to run DICE's shooter on Xbox 360 in optimal conditions.

"Battlefield 4 on the Xbox 360 will come with two discs: one for multiplayer, the other for single player," it states.

"The first time you start your game, regardless of which disc you use, you will be asked to perform a required installation of 2GB worth of game content to your hard drive. In addition to the required installation, each disc has additional content you can install to your hard drive for better performance."

EA "highly recommends" that players perform these additional installations to "make sure you have the best experience possible in Battlefield 4."

According to the FAQ, the multiplayer disc has "an additional 6.6 GB of content" while the single-player disc has "5.8 GB of installation content".

EA has confirmed a Battlefield 4 release date of October 29 in the US and November 1 in the UK on current gen consoles and PC. Xbox One and PS4 versions will be console launch titles later in November.

The final game will ship with seven multiplayer modes playable on ten maps. You can check out a recent Battlefield 4 multiplayer trailer.

Woobie 14GB is an insane amount of space just to play one game, not to mention updates and dlc.

True that. In total around 20-25GB that is a silly amount, I will still do it though as I am looking forward to BF4 and especially the multiplayer.

Tortuga The beta of this game is terrible. The game looks just like BF3.... Not sure how they are going to market this..

Well obviously it's going to look like BF3. It is Battlefield 4 the sequel to BF3. It is going to be like it. If you expect it to be different, then the next Battlefield should be a racing game, shouldn't it?

Haha, well said! This also goes for CoD and all the CoD haters, even though they could've made more changes from MW2 to MW3... I think MW3 was the worst. But on topic, IMO I think this game is amazing and I didn't like BF3 too much!

Lol you should take into consideration you were playing a BETA, which wasnt on either the PS4 or X1. Did you also notice it was only 1.6 gb? Whereas the full game will be about 20gb. There will be a large difference in texture and FoV quality, let alone the gameplay itself. And if your unsure of how theyre going to market it why not look on the official website to find out? They wont deliver a game that has less quality than advertised, as that is false advertising, which can lead to lots of trouble, for example the WarZ episode on Steam. Goddamn naivety

Not worth it. BF always looks and runs better on PC. Don't know about the next-gen versions, but the current-gen graphics for this game will be.... not so good.
