Warcraft movie comes to theaters December 18, 2015

Warcraft is due in theaters on December 18, 2015, from Legendary and Universal Pictures, the official World of Warcraft account tweeted today.

The film is based on Blizzard's longstanding Warcraft universe, directed by Duncan Jones. Jones is the director of Moon and Source Code, and he happens to be David Bowie's son. Take that one to trivia night, folks.

Warcraft originally had Sam Raimi as director, but he bailed to take on Oz: The Great and Powerful. The project is sticking with a script by Charles Leavitt, the writer of Blood Diamond and K-PAX. Filming begins January 13, 2014.

If you don't like WoW of course you won't like this movie. It's more directed to people like me who enjoy the lore and books of warcraft.

I didn't know that game had a plot. Just shit loads of quests and side quests depending on who you are.
