PSN maintenance planned for September 25

4.7
Sony has announced plans to execute scheduled maintenance on the US PlayStation Network on September 25.

The maintenance is scheduled for a six-hour slot from 10:15pm to 4:15pm Pacific Time (1:15pm to 7:15pm Eastern).

"If you've signed onto PSN over the past few days, you'll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable," explains Sony.

"Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window," it adds.

Sony has confirmed this week's US PlayStation Plus update, which sees the addition of Rayman Origins to the Instant Game Collection.

Aggie I'm just glad that they give people with the console an update on when they will not be fully operational. Unlike the Xbox where they randomly just update it out of no where.

Idk where you get your information. I always know an update is coming out because Microsoft alerts people about it. Take it from a Xbox basher to not know what he's talking about xD

I've had an Xbox for 5 years and never have once had an alert of when they are going to be down.
Yet while there is maintenance on Xbox Live, I don't remember it going down just for that...

yes, "While" is the keyword. Xbox hardly ever gives an in advance notice.

5 minutes, 6 hours. See the difference? See why Xbox Live is a premium service?

At least they are doing it before GTA Online launches, good thing they announce this though.

I agree, I'm glad Sony announces their maintenance.

I have both consoles. Also there is usually a date in which the updates come out on xbox, the same as playstation. Would rather have the xbox updates though as they only take a couple of minutes
