Grand Theft Auto 5 makes off with over $800 million on day one

Worldwide sales of the latest entry in Rockstar's open-world crime series, Grand Theft Auto 5, have surpassed $800 million in just 24 hours at retail. This figure represents a new day-one high for both the series and parent company Take Two Interactive.

Currently, Grand Theft Auto 5 only has a single-player component on Xbox 360 and PS3. Rockstar announced the multiplayer supplement, Grand Theft Auto Online, will launch on October 1.

Exactly, I hope the Call of duty series goes bankrupt.


I doubght this to happen very much as others have said in other articles on the site a lot of people are just sheep and buy the game I do not think they will go bankrupt but I do think they will loose a lot of sales in the next console as they have even more games to compete with.

I can't wait until they add the Multiplayer Content. I heard they are trying to make it as good as possible. And I believe they will.

I know, I didn't even think they'd get that much on day one, my guess was around 500 million.
