I imagine its because they still need to sort things out before the MP is up to scratch with the rest of the game.

Im glad rockstar have done this well already... ive played a fair amount of the game so far (just past the trios first main heist) and im loving it. The way it all mingles together for each player is great- three smaller stories playing alongside the major story makes it really interesti g

Im thinking that they did that so players could get some time to beat the story first instead of jumping right into MP which most people do.

Yeah, I figured it's to let people have time to beat the game seeing how you take control of the 4th member of the crew when you hop online.

This made me laugh so hard! I completely agree!

BO2 made a billion in 17 days. So not really bad considering once gta5 beats that it will be the second fastest to a billion ever. So not really a middle finger. And cod is year round. So sales wise they still win.

Quality wise they lose...sadly

Quality wise they definitely lose, they just keep pulling out the same game over and over every year with a small twist.
