Report: PS4 to support voice commands, recognition with camera

The PlayStation 4 will support "navigational voice commands" and "facial recognition" through the PlayStation Camera, according to YouTube user lex1020's recording of a slide from Sony's presentation at GameStop Expo 2013.

At the GameStop Expo, SCEA's Group Manager of Retail Training and Advocacy Sean Coleman described the camera's ability to "track your body movements in games or even recognize your face for easier system navigation."

A Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson confirmed with Polygon that the PlayStation Camera "allows for voice recognition" and that more details will be shared "in the lead up to the launch of the PlayStation 4."

How about this Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are all dumb because they copied the Atari 2600 for making a home console we should all just go and buy Atarii's because they're the best for not copying! See how dumb that sounds? That's what you guys sound like calling everyone copycats like your twelve, whether it be Microsoft or Sony.

Totally agree with this post Sony copied this Microsoft copied that SO WHAT!, Deal with it just another pointless argument in the console wars.

XBOX copied the touch-sensitive power button from playstation and XBOX are copying playstation with the blu-ray player....

Thing is Sony is far from being original with those ideas. Also, who cares about the sensitive button, and Blu-ray isn't Sony's, as I said.
Too bad Sony invented Blu Ray and holds the most profitable patents for it. No one cares if you say Blu Ray isn't Sony's lmao. As for the whole "copying" argument every company gaming or non gaming "copies" get over it nobody cares it's only positive things that they're "copying" anyways.

Well you see, touch sensitive power is a slight copy however Blu ray drives are on PC's not just consoles, anyone can buy them, its not like a PS3-PS4 Exclusive.

The Kinect was sort of Microsoft's thing and now Sony are releasing something just like it.

Kinect is just like the Eye-Toy from the PS2 (The player being the controller) Although it's 100x better... The point I'm making is that the kinect is in a way like a much better Eye-toy..

Pashtun This just put the Xbone in the dirt. If you were getting it for voice commands well looks like sony has them to for a cheap $60 camera.

PS4 is $100 cheaper
