Sony partners with European ISPs to deliver broadband service for PS4

4.7
At Gamescom this week, Sony announced that it will partner with several internet providers in Europe to deliver broadband service plans specifically suited for the PlayStation 4.

Sony's forthcoming partnerships with Ono, Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin Media will ensure broadband speeds of up to 200 mbps specifically for gaming purposes. The PlayStation 4 boasts content streaming as one of its tentpole features, making speedy internet service crucial for the upcoming console.

Virgin Media announced that it will offer PS4-optimized service plans in the UK following the console's launch in November.

Glad to hear Sony doing this. I'm getting the Xbox One but still I have to give credit to Sony for doing this.

200 MBPS is a crazy number, I only have a 1mbps connection and the highest you can get in my state is 50 mbps so this is crazy to think of.
