Gamescom 2013: PS4 launch date: November 15th

The PlayStation 4 comes to North America on November 15 and to Europe on November 29. It's been six months that we've been hanging on "Holiday 2013," but at today's Gamescom conference in Germany, Sony finally gave its next-generation system a date to go with its price of $400.

PS4 will go head-to-head with Xbox One later this year. Microsoft said last week that Xbox One will be released in 13 markets this November, down from the 21 markets initially announced.

Microsoft has confirmed an Xbox One price of £429 / $499 / €499.

EG6 Already have mine pre-ordered with 120 deposit. Only need to make sure I have 229 when release date comes around.


I preordered mine and fully paid it so i dont have to worry later. all i have to do is get games for it


I feel that is the right way of handling the situation.


The games are going to kick us back a lot, $50-$60 a game also Ps+. Lots of money.

I think this isn't that bad. I think that that date is good for sales and maybe some deals on Black Friday at some stores. At $399 it's going to be a tough competitor against the One.

yeah that is the same with me. looks like the xbox will come out before the ps4 even if the ps4 is cheaper.


Xbox will ALWAYS beat PS.

Well it does look like it. I didn't think at the start Xbox One would have come out but Microsoft is really shining right now. Wouldn't be surprised if it is the better console.


You need to sit back and look at the factors with both of the consoles. Sure, in the western countries Xbox is insanely popular while in the eastern countries it isn't very popular what so ever
