Call of Duty: Ghosts executive producer discusses next-gen transition

4.7
After the dust settled on last week's multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty: Ghosts, Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin spoke with Joystiq about the franchise's new current- and next-gen engine, in-game female soldiers and the corporate culture at a very different-looking Infinity Ward studio. Rubin also detailed the process and philosophy behind linking in-game progression to Call of Duty profiles, so that players won't be forced to restart their online careers if transitioning between current and next-gen consoles.

Even though every cod gets hyped up so much we seem to forget how bad the previous cods were this cod does seem a better than the previous cods.

Fuzzeh_X This game looks like it'll be alright however because the only difference between next gen and current will be graphics and aesthetics and that is not what i'm looking for, I know that because they have to make a version for both that's all they could do for next gen so I personally will be giving this CoD a free pass on whether it's truly a newer innovative CoD or not I will wait until next year when hopefully they can focus on fully using the next gen consoles to make a truly better CoD.

yup, i wish that they would stick to either the next gen or current gen.

Bubblez If they really considered there fans they would make some sort of code so if you buy it on the 360 you dont have to buy it again on Xbox One

That would be pretty cool but they would end up loosing a lot of money. They still need to pay for putting the game onto a disc, then stocking it in a store.

Dr-Ponyfile I must say COD gets hyped up every year oh we have added this added that I'm not hating I just don't want to keep spending out on a game that is a let down, I liked BO2 because of the Zombies its a break from the Multiplayer the Special Ops missions just sucked imo.

Many people end up buying call of duty despite them being disappointing. I will likely be getting ghosts but it will be my last one if they fail to innovate

I'm glad they're doing this.
