DICE 'investigating' cross-gen stat transfers for Battlefield 4

4.8
It looks as though EA's back-end server tech may benefit audiences other than the Madden/FIFA crowd: DICE is "investigating" the possibility of transferring player data from current-gen versions of Battlefield 4 to their next-gen cousins, according to the series' official Twitter.

In practice, this sounds similar to the technology that will power such functionality in Madden 25 and FIFA 14, where players that begin their Ultimate Teams on current-gen hardware can transfer their progress to the next-gen, should they ever make the leap. As of yet, no specifics have been given with regards to what kind of BF4 player information may or may not be transferable, should that functionality be added to the game.

I might use this feature.

I don't think there's a point in this. There's not many people that will actually take use of this.

That's nice I guess for all the idiots who buy the game twice. If you have the money to buy the game twice I think you could just wait a week and get it on the next console. And if your not buying the console when it comes out because you don't have the money then why are buying the game twice? I don't see this benefiting a lot of people.
