DICE 'investigating' cross-gen stat transfers for Battlefield 4

4.8
It looks as though EA's back-end server tech may benefit audiences other than the Madden/FIFA crowd: DICE is "investigating" the possibility of transferring player data from current-gen versions of Battlefield 4 to their next-gen cousins, according to the series' official Twitter.

In practice, this sounds similar to the technology that will power such functionality in Madden 25 and FIFA 14, where players that begin their Ultimate Teams on current-gen hardware can transfer their progress to the next-gen, should they ever make the leap. As of yet, no specifics have been given with regards to what kind of BF4 player information may or may not be transferable, should that functionality be added to the game.

This actually seems really cool, but I bet it will be too difficult to pull off. Well, it depends on what they are attempting.

I know they are doing this with Ghosts so this would be a huge downfall of Battlefield if they didn't do this also but I am sure with their development team with will be an easy achievement.

Mortar This is a wonderful idea and if they can pull it off, it will please most, if not all Battlefield fans.

Yeah, because most will have to have their hands on it first day on 360.

I hope they come through with this. Because I plan on buying both versions

FYI That's is so cool but if it cost loads it's not worth it

I agree. People should just stick with one console.
