Gran Turismo movie reportedly in production

Sony is currently developing a film adaptation for Gran Turismo, according to a film industry source.


According to a report by The Wrap, Fifty Shades of Grey producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti have been recruited to develop the film, with three Sony execs tasked with overseeing the project.

The report follows a similar project for EA. DreamWorks has acquired the rights to a feature film adaptation of Need for Speed, with a Scott Waugh-directed film slated for a 2014 release.

Gran Turismo 6 will release this Christmas for PS3, but not PS4. A playable demo is currently available on the PlayStation Store.

Sony recently confirmed that the Goodwood Hill Climb course will feature in the game.

Katsumi I wonder if a film adaptation of gran turismo will be interesting.. the premise will likely be a rookie racer moving up the ranks but i'm not too sure.


I dont think the movie will be good but i could be wrong.

Pins For Me I Dont Think Gran Turismo Is That Good I Actually Think That Need For Speed Is Better In My Opinion As It Comes On Out On Both Consoles Not Just The Ps3!


NFS games were fun, but this is more realistic.

Need for speed isn't as realistic. It's more fictional racing but with real cars.
