Gran Turismo movie reportedly in production

4.7
Sony is currently developing a film adaptation for Gran Turismo, according to a film industry source.

According to a report by The Wrap, Fifty Shades of Grey producers Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti have been recruited to develop the film, with three Sony execs tasked with overseeing the project.

The report follows a similar project for EA. DreamWorks has acquired the rights to a feature film adaptation of Need for Speed, with a Scott Waugh-directed film slated for a 2014 release.

Gran Turismo 6 will release this Christmas for PS3, but not PS4. A playable demo is currently available on the PlayStation Store.

Sony recently confirmed that the Goodwood Hill Climb course will feature in the game.

I totally agree with you on that!

Movie to games are worse. And this is racing so its different and may be good. Unlike shooters that become movies.

Hopefully if they go through with this it will turn out well. It really doesn't seem like a bad concept to base a movie around of

They can be successful. Except, they don't have the budget to hire good game developers to make it high quality. They just hope to rely on the movies popularity to sell the game, which in reality won't make the game sell.

Homunculous will be either a total success or a total failure.

To be honest. I'm leaning towards success. In the racing industry for games there hasn't been one overall top company. With that being said, the sales are kinda distributed evenly. So it will either land in the middle or do really well. I wish the First person shooters were like this. But Call of Duty will be the top company for awhile which makes game developers for games like Splinter Cell have a less budget because they know their games will be out sold by COD.
