Xbox One supports partial-download play

The Xbox One will allow users to play games while they are being downloaded, a Microsoft representative confirmed with Polygon this week.

Microsoft previously noted that players could begin playing disc-based games during installation, though the company did not specify whether games downloaded from Xbox Live would share similar functionality. Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 supported partial-download play earlier this year.

Zero_Point_Five Thanks god for this. It's so annoying downloading things (bo2 dlc for example which is close to 2 gb) and having to sit on the dash while its downloading

Thats why you go out or watch tv or do something else while its downloading

So far both consoles are looking very good but I am not a team changer so I will stick with the xbox through thick and thin.
