GameStop no longer taking PS4 pre-orders

A spokesperson for GameStop has said that retailer has stopped taking pre-orders for the PS4.


A GameStop spokesperson has told GameInformer that "due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4."

The GameStop website has listed the console as "sold out," but interested customers can submit their email address to receive new information.

Last month, a memo from Sony was leaked telling GameStop to accept an unlimited number of PS4 pre-orders, and to ignore previously defined PS4 allotment limitations. This came after Sony already warned that PS4 demand "may well outstrip supply."

Agreed. You can't say one thing is better than another unless you've experienced both. And the reason ps4 is selling so well is because microsoft scared alot of people away with their restrictions which they have now taken away. In a month or two we'll be hearing the same about the xbox one.
