GameStop no longer taking PS4 pre-orders

A spokesperson for GameStop has said that retailer has stopped taking pre-orders for the PS4.


A GameStop spokesperson has told GameInformer that "due to high demand for the system, GameStop is not currently taking additional store reservations for the PlayStation 4."

The GameStop website has listed the console as "sold out," but interested customers can submit their email address to receive new information.

Last month, a memo from Sony was leaked telling GameStop to accept an unlimited number of PS4 pre-orders, and to ignore previously defined PS4 allotment limitations. This came after Sony already warned that PS4 demand "may well outstrip supply."

Unless they have already bought a shipment of them then they cant be out of stock. Shows who is winning anyway.

Yet fanboys will still roam around claiming that they're on par with pre-orders, the title seems a little exaggerating though, because this is likely a temporary action.

Man. I'm an Xbox fan and will probably always be. PS4 looks great and I had no idea they had this many pre-orders. Still like how some of the people in the comments aren't taking sides though.

they will... or do it on amazon. best bet is amazon it will come early in the morning and you won't have to leave the house. order some pizzas call school tell them you sick and sit on your arse for a week. thats my plan.

This is misleading they told me DAY ONE Edition has sold out. and they will have more bundles soon. I Called my gamestop.

I'm sure Best Buy and Amazon will still allow people to be able to place pre-orders for the console.
