Banned Xbox One accounts will keep their games

4.4
A couple days ago, a tweet was sent out that you would lose all your games if you get banned. Microsoft's Major Nelson came out a couple days ago, and said that you would still have full access to your games if you get banned on the Xbox One. Many sites such as TheTechGame have updated the users with the events.

Here is the old article we also have updated with the correct info.

ODST It sounds like "Major Nelson" is just dancing around every question. He's giving vague answers except for the one he was anticipating; the one about banning people. I want to know if the Xbox One will continue to work 10-15 years from now. I want to know if the games on the Xbox One will be functional 10-15 years from now. Don't dance around key questions like that becasue you have just lost another supporter of the XBL community.

That is a valid concern, they will pull the servers offline after 10-15 years of the Xbox One being out, will they issue one last firmware update before they go offline that will enable offline playing of our games?

They probably won't, I'm sure they will want you to buy the new console and games and get your money from there, but hey if they do then that's great for the gamers who will stick around on the Xbox One.

I'm worried about the Xbox One just because I'll want to have my old games playable. I like to be one of those people who pulls out their N64 and PS2 and play games on them from now to then. Old consoles have some of the best titles ever on them. If a new, amazing, game is released for the Xbox One, will I get to relive it later? I'm finding it really hard to justify why to get this console just because of its' lasting time. Maybe if Micro$oft does put out a patch, maybe it could go well, either way, They are walking on thin ice in my vote.

I'm the exact same way with older consoles. I hardly game now but I do like to now and then pull out an older system and play it and relive the moment of that game.

This is great. MS isn't as money thirsty as I thought. Now I won't have to re-buy games.

Well, that's some pretty big news actually, the difference between losing all of your games and having all of them is huge.
