4
Original story: A recent tweet by the Xbox support team has stated that if you get banned on Xbox One, you lose all your games. This is another reason why you should stay clean and follow the terms of use on Xbox One. The Xbox support staff has been answering many questions on twitter about the console and features the system beholds.

UPDATE: Thanks Matt.

The Xbox Support Twitter now claims they were talking about the Xbox 360 and not the Xbox One, They are unable to comment on Xbox One ban policy at this time.

Great, another way for them to take the rights away. I pay $500 dollars for a console, I should be able to use it how ever I want. That sucks, because if you spend around $500 worth of games, that's all lost.

Microsoft - 1

Sony - 1337

Sony is currently winning the next-gen console war! :)

THIS IS A GOOD THING.

Hackers will be gone in seconds.

I can't wait till the PS4 gets hackers and all it will be so funny.

I definitely won't be doing any modding on the Xbox One.

MPAA No, re-read some of the annoucements, every DISC BASED games will be a license. If you get banned you have to re-buy.

Ah, well then just don't break any ToU's and you'll be fine, otherwise you're just screwing yourself over.

MPAA I forgot to mention that the 360 license system uses your account AND your console, so if you got banned you should be able to use the content on a new gamertag.

With the new one it looks like once you get an account ban, you have to re-buy all your $60 games, You must be a fool to support that!

You'd be a fool to get ToU banned after purchasing $worth of games on "Games On
Demand".

Medion This tweet was for Xbox 360.

If it was for the 360, why are they introducing this now?

It's always been introduced. It's licensed on your account, if you was to buy a new xbox you wouldn't be able to download all your stuff again since your account has been banned.
It may still count for the xbox one, but you may be able to trade the games to another account if it's on your friends list for over 30 days while your banned.

Oh okay, so this isnt for the xbox one?

im not sure if this is the same account they use for the xbox 360 support but the account is called Xbox support1 :)

Well it's same as 360 so I see no problem.

Equalise Does this count if you get banned on a certain game? For example if someone was to get banned on CoD: Ghosts?

Again:

Did you get banned for breaching the ToU (Terms of Use [Hacking/modding/consolehack/mod etc])
Was that game a digital copy or physical?

If it (Cod:Ghosts) was a digital copy and you did breach and was caught breaching then yes you'll still lose all digital games.
If it (Cod:Ghosts) was physical and you did breach then they couldn't physically take the game from you.
If you were banned from (Cod:GhostsMultiplayer) but wasn't due to a breach of ToU then they won't take all your games. You would most likely just be banned from multiplayer for a period of time/indefinitely depending on why you were banned.

Once again this is for 360.
Not confirmed that they'll use the exact same rule for Xbox one.
My guess for Xbox one would probably be that they would use the same rules.

Okay im just never going to buy a digital code for a game, ill just buy them all as a disk so they cant take away the games
