E3 2013: Pre-order the Xbox One, get an achievement

4.5
Earlier today, Microsoft announced that Xbox One. The price was set at $500, and many are worried and do not believe it is worth it. With this in mind, Microsoft have decided to throw in some extra rewards for people who preorder the new Xbox. Once you preorder the console, you automatically get a day one achievement when arriving on your Xbox. This is no word on how much gamerscore the achievement will be worth.

The other thing they are offering when you preorder is a limited edition Xbox One controller. We do not know what the controller looks like yet, but we will hear more news about it in a few weeks or so. The package also contains "Extra Care," basically extra packaging so your console is guaranteed to be in top condition.

Will these extra gems have an impact on preorder sales? We will found out soon.

liamcole123 Just to stir thinks up here, the PS4 is faster! It uses a faster type of RAM which will increase loading speeds but not to a really noticeable extent!

The Xbox One will have many exclusives, (not just Halo, Forza and Fable) DLC early for games like Call of Duty (Even though the game is terrible) a much better controller, a better design in console and to top it off it will have Minecraft!

Over to PC, PC has processing power that consoles will never step up to, has games that can handle over 500 people at the same time, has way better graphics, gives control to the consumer as games are fairly easy to modify and to top it off, has a much better version of Minecraft!

The reason, I don't prefer PC is that if you don't want to have a bad gaming experience then you will need to spend alot of money. Most of the time $1000+ and I'm guessing it's also quite expensive with the U.K.'s currency. Console's on the other hand are almost guaranteed to handle any game you play ( because they have been optimized for the consoles )

MrCokedUp well PS4 Cought my eye, i was thinkin about getting the xbox - one but, i seen alot of flaw's like..

Xbox One : Flaws

- having to be online 24,7
- no used games
- no sharing,borrow
- xbox live sub
- starting price 500$ alone
- Kinect Seem's Like a Creeper If u Ask Me...

Xbox One :
- Flipping Channel's With Out Remote.
- Snap Chat Or W.e It Is Can Be Use Full For.
Guides' With Youtube..

My thought's about the.
Ps4

- Games i love Such as Kingdom Heart's 3
- Can Play Offline
- U Can Borrow - Used Game's
- No Sub < Not Sure But, Hopefully

i Really Don't Kno .. Both Sound Like Good Console's Hard To Deiced..

- Excuse My Grammer.

1. Once per 24 hours? Come on, unless you live in rural areas surely this won't be a problem.
2. You can buy used games.
3. You can share your games but you can only use it in one location at a time.
4. We pay for extreme exclusives and that along wins the Xbox One.
5. Like I have said before, $500 is nothing.
6. Fair enough but as they said, you can switch it off.

1-Internet can go out, even if you live in suburban areas the internet can go out and if it does you can entertain yourself on the Xbox.
2-You can't.
3-You can only share you games to one person MAXIMUM.
4-Extreme exclusives like what Halo and Forza? Extreme right?
5- Okay, 500 dollars may not be nothing but the PS4 is 400 so why not save 100 dollars?
6-Yea, I guess you can "switch it off", you win that one.

Overall the PS4 sounds better.

1. Okay Internet can go out but that's your fault not the Xbox's.
2. You can, look it up.
3. You're wrong, look it up.
4. What exclusives you got? Nothing right? Well we have Minecraft, Forza, FIFA, Battlefield, Halo & a lot more!
5. The PS4 is $400 because it costs a lot less to make it.

Cheers, Joe.

1. Many people don't have internet, I hadn't had it for the previous six months as I had moved house, which had some issues fixing. Do you know what kept me sane while having no internet? That's right, the ability to play my 360 offline.

2. You can buy used games, but it is up to the publisher whether they allow their title to be resold. If they decide to do so, they are allowed to charge you whatever price they see fit for not being the original owner.

3. You CANNOT share games. In order for someone else to play your game, you have to be friends with them over Xbox Live for 30 days minimum, once you pass that 30 days you can GIVE said friend your game, not borrow. They become the new owner, and it can no longer be given again.

4. You pay for the Call of Duty map packs first, WOW! You pay for the Battlefield 4 map packs first, WOW! You can barely even call them exclusives. The only exclusive worth buying on that console is Halo, and that game alone is the only reason I would ever consider buying a One, as I am a fan of the series.

5. Sorry that not everyone else is as rich as you are. $500 is a lot of money, and that $100 difference is a BIG difference. I'm Australian, and the PS4 was revealed at $399, we here in Aus are paying $549! And our currency is virtually equivalent with the US dollar. We have to pay an added $150, that being said, with the Xbox One being priced at $499, we are looking at a price mark of $700.

and Last but not least, you CANNOT turn the Kinect off, however, you can "Pause" it. Do not confuse that with being turned off, it is only temporary.

I'm sorry, Joe, but you entered this conversation oblivious to any of the news updates about the One. Did you not watch E3? Have you not been keeping up to date? I quote "Look it up".

Well if you have a problem with the Kinect being on. Don't sleep in your living room. If it's in your bedroom, then get up and move the it somewhere else, simple as that. OR you can just unplug the Xbox all together. Don't say that's alot of work because you know it isn't.

Aggie I really believe that the PS4 is winning the battle right now. I really cant believe it. And with this Microsoft is doing a lot of stuff wrong while Sony is doing a lot of stuff right.

In my mind.. PS4 just look like Xbox one slim.. I Really don't think ps4 will be that great at lunch.
Xbox look really stable whit EA, Call of duty, Battlefield, GTA5 on Xbox side.
The xbox it self look really tuff and the controller too.

For ps4 they lost Ea such as Battlefield.. Electronic Art is THE biggest in game. No Ea = gaming fall off..
That's what people don't realise about PS4.
(When I mean they lost Ea, I just say that they lost the Ea advantages like Some cool feature exclusive on Ps3 from ea.. Again such as gamer of BF3 had Content 1month before Xbox.
And such as Call of duty gamers had content one month before on Xbox.

Now all tease things in on Xbox side..

An other thing.. The Ps4 controller look really cheap.
And if the console is 100$ less than xbox for more.. Something will fail in the system believe me.

But I had see that coming so.. in April I bought an DELL XPS 8500.
With pc I have gaming experience that I never have before that really nice.
The graphics is 3 times better and surely 2 times better than next gen consoles.
With 16gb rams and intel core i7 you can run 3 game: Battlefield 3, Need For Speed and Saints Row the third for example and the pc will not lag att all !
Just on xbox 360.. BF3 lag because its too big and you can only play with 32 player On pc you play with 64 players with no lags !

So a computer that you buy right now for 1300Bucks Will play easily the 2020 games ;)

My last word is PC gaming is really better than an arcade console(PS4) and a TV player(XboxOne)

Oh and NEVER buy an alienware,
You pay 2500$ for a 16gb + Corei7 + 680GTX
An XPS You pay 1500$ for 16GB + Corei7 + 660GTX

So Grow up, Buy a PC instead of an Xbox of PlayStation that in 2017 will have a new one with 12gb ram + corei5..

I just say Don't get **** kids, Microsoft and Sony are just pedophiles xD lol

They need to throw in something more valuable, Maybe a free game of your choice or something.

fastsnipe haha ps4 has to pay now to play online and the ps3 was $100 more than the xbox 360 when it came out and the reason the xbox is $100 more now is because it comes with the kinect sensor

PS4 comes with Playstation Eye as well which is just as expensive as Kinect. Not to mention the PS4 controller has a touch screen interface, which likely is more expensive to manufacture. Also, the PS4 has a better processor, faster RAM, and a better display, all of which are more expensive to manufacture.

The only notable exclusives coming to the Xbox One only are Halo, Forza, Dead Rising 3, and Minecraft. The PS4 offers a little more exclusives like Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts 3, Infamous 2, and Mad Max. Sony also is bring some big PC games to the PS4 too like Diablo 3, Planetside 2, DC Universe Online, Warframe, Final Fantasy XIV Online, and Blacklight: Retribution.

Not hating on the Xbox One, but whether you like it or not, the PS4 has better internals and more exclusives for $100 less. That being said just buy whatever you enjoy the most as it's a matter of preference, and no one can decide for you what you want. I'll be buying the PS4 simply because I own an Xbox 360 so I will be able to play games from both systems.
