Konami announced today that Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will premiere for Microsoft's Xbox One console.

Promising "tactical espionage redefined," Metal Gear Solid 5 boasts a new open-world take on the series, offering up real-time weather and multiple transportation options.

The game also includes a dynamic CQC system. The game's storyline -- at least from snippets revealed during Konami's trailer -- seems to revolve around rescuing Kaz Miller, a character originally featured in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
