NBA 2K14 confirmed for current and next-gen consoles

NBA 2K14 has been confirmed for current and next-gen platforms.

The new installment in 2K's basketball series has been confirmed for an October 1 release date across PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
Meanwhile, editions for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will launch alongside the consoles.

The news comes via 2K Sports SVP of Basketball Operations Jason Argent, who also confirmed the series will skip the Wii U this year.

"We are not doing a Wii U version this year," he said. "The decision was made internally."

He also specified that current and next-gen editions of NBA 2K14, while sharing some features, will be distinct products.

2K Sports has also released an official trailer and packshot, which features Miami Heat player LeBron James. A second trailer also details pre-order incentives.

Lebron is the most popular player in the NBA... Tony parker as good as he is would be boring. He'll probably make a cover soon though especially if they win the series

I was hoping for a 2K14 seeing as though I really enjoyed the previous versions. Can't wait for the release of the game

-LOST- I hope they allow all players to be in the game even if they're injured. I had to go through 2k13 without rose which blows.

i currently have nba 2k13 and cant figure out how to shoot it says press X so i don and he does nothing really annoying only played 1 game though
