Man serving home detention opts for prison over Xbox

4.5
If crime were punishable with 11 months of solid video game downtime, this world would be chaos.

One New Zealand offender begs to differ, though: according to a report in the New Zealand Herald, a 19-year-old has opted to go to prison rather than spend the last month of his home detention term playing Xbox.
According to the report, the offender was "sick of playing Xbox" and "had run out of Xbox games to play." To combat the horror of replaying video games, he'll spend the final month of his detention term behind bars.

He even admitted that if police didn't jail him, he was at risk of breaching his home detention terms.

Troy20202020 Wow your all so dumb! The reason he wants to serve his last month in prison is because he basically has an ASBO, If you don't know what that is look it up. .. So his ASBO will not allow him to leave home or something for 12 months (this is an example) so he decided to play xbox and because Xbox is so boring he wants to breach his ASBO (go outside) and if he done that the police could extend his ASBO for even longer, That's why he offered to serve his last month behind bars, so he doesn't breach it! ... All you children will realise one day how **** xbox(and all other consoles) actually are!!

if you don't like consoles why are you a member of this site and dont say for pc reasons that's like 4% of the site

PC is actually quite big but it's quite hidden on the site. Console is pretty shitty when you compare it to PC though, not trying to be a jerk or anything but it's fact.

and thus begins the rants again, believe it or not Xbox One runs and operates faster than most computers today which is impressive so really I wouldn't ever call it a console and if I'm not mistaken the PS4 has similar tech specs but utilizes DDR4 RAM and not DDR3 which is what the Xbox One comprises of, but all in all if you got $2000 to blow off than buy I a supped up PC!

at least it's one month behind bars and he's doing it to prevent himself from leaving his home! in my opinion that's a smart choice not to mention he'll most like be in a low-level facility to the point that's it's not to strict but still pretty strict

I would just stare at the screen and do nothing than go to prison.

I'd rather be bored of Xbox and continue playing than going to prison lol.
