Angry Birds flick flies to cinemas July 1, 2016

A release for the upcoming Angry Birds flick has been narrowed to July 1, 2016, with Sony distributing the movie worldwide, Rovio announced on its website today.

Rovio's intent on creating a feature film was made public late last year, when the studio tapped producers John Cohen and David Maisel from Despicable Me and Iron Man to lead the project. The Angry Birds movie is unique in that it's being completely done in-house – Rovio is funding and producing the film entirely on its own.mimims360_

I can't see making a movie out of a simple game like angry birds, its like the same thing over and over.

This seems like a bad investment on their part. Can't imagine the reviews will be good and they'll probably lose money in the end.

I feel like Rovio is always trying to make money. People complain about Youtubers but have you seen how many different Angry Bird games there are lol. I guess this will earn some money then they will make another film and then another until people complain about how pointless they are. I also have no idea where they are gonna get a plot for the film since it is a game about throwing birds at pigs...

Storyline = Main character gets pung half way across a field by a little kid then hits a wall and dies - The End -
