Minecraft Xbox 360 - 1 Year Anniversary + "battle & Beasts" Skin Pack

With minecraft xbox 360 coming up to it's one year anniversary, the community was wondering what they'd be doing for the milestone.

Earlier today on major nelsons website he leaked the information a little earlier than expected, displaying the information "Minecraft 1st Birthday Skins Pack 9 - May Cost - FREE" So it seems that 4j studios are going to be giving a FREE skin pack for all the users to download and enjoy.

Also happening tomorrow, which is May 8th, is the official release of the community skin pack also know as "Battle & Beasts". This skin pack will cost 160 MSP and is also know as the community request skins.

Many topics have been created on Minecraft forums displaying questions on what skins you would personally enjoy as a community member on Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft. Many popular skins have been chosen and you can see in and early review from ecko, which can be found down below.

-urzx Maybe they'll fix the giant problems console minecraft has like...

1. Really big worlds that will freeze if more than three people are in the game.

2. The massive amount of time that some people have to wait for worlds to load when their in other people's games.

3. The size that worlds are allowed to be.

4. The ability to not have more than eight people in your game.

5. The distance that the player can see.

6. And whatever else I missed.

It has failed on the console in my opinion and is no where near the pc version mechanically wise. Even though over a million people play it on console, it still failed. We should be getting our money back for the minecraft birthday, not a stupid skin pack. Monty percent of the skin packs skins look horrible as it is...


Awwwwww.... It sounds to me like somebody's a bit butt-hurt. Of course the console version isn't going to be the same as the PC version. PC's have much more ability than the consoles do. Hell, by your logic, the pocket edition of Minecraft should be considered a crime against humanity, since it's even less like the PC version. Next time, BEFORE you decide to open your mouth, maybe you should consider that not every piece of technology is the exact same in what it can do.
The Xbox 360 has better specs than my laptop (it's a a piece of turd), yet I could play minecraft with HD texture packs and good viewing distance. The Xbox should most definitely be able to handle it.

What youve also got to take into account is how much of the 360s power is taken up by the firmware running, all the connection stuff, the calculations and stuff its gotta run through its metophorical head.
on a PC they specifically build it to run multiple tasks in specific ways and unusual ways to run smooth but 360 needs limitations to stop serious hardware issues and software issues

Vap I can't believe it's already been 1 year, doesn't seem like it to me.


I was thinking the same thing. I like the skins in this pack, I might get them if I ever start playing the xbox version again for some reason.

Probably not for a while... the 360 skins aren't as accessible as the PC ones
