Sony exec: Gran Turismo 6 'on PS3 this year'

It is known that Polyphony has been working on Gran Turismo 6 since 2011, meaning many expected the game to come out quite a long time after it had been announced. Now it turns out that the game may come out this year, and this time it is on the PS3.

This is according to Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Senior Vice President Michael Denny, speaking with sources: "Look at the games coming out on PlayStation 3 this year, like The Last of Us, like Beyond, GT6...."

Sony confirms that Gran Turismo 6 is in development and has been since 2010, but offers no additional comment about a release this year.

Last time I played one was on the PS2, I wasn't a 'gamer-kid' back then, now that I look back on the game I had so much fun with it.

Same with me, I had one of the games for the PS1.


PS1 brings back so many memories, so does Gamecube.


Me too, although I always sucked when playing racing games on PS1.

Also, this looks good on the graphics department.


i don't think racing games' graphics will ever be perfected to look like a real car though, it's just like a sports game, the movements of the player will never be truly realistic


They're getting there. Maybe in the distant future they will have perfected graphics to look as realistic as possible.
