Bungie's 'Destiny' to require a permanent online connection.
The 'Shared World Shooter' will require a permanent online connection to power its persistent, emerging world, the studio stated.
"It's a persistent, shared and connected world, so you will need to be connected to the internet to play Destiny."
Destiny - which publisher Activision calls the world's first shared-world shooter - is built around co-op play and will include elements which are familiar to the massively multiplayer online genre (MMO), such as a persistent world, areas packed with players and quests designed to challenge sizeable groups.
Destiny was confirmed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but the studio would not confirm a release on next-gen platforms, or PC.

But halo was getting worse and worse after halo 3 so they should just end the series where its at before they just ruin the series completely and im glad this is coming out its going to be on ps3 :D
This is what they need to do with COD.

phlegmEfficient that's so stupid. What if i'm at somewhere with no internet?
I don't think anyone agrees with this, I also think it's dumb.
As do I. Not really looking forward to this since I've done some research.
