It seems like someone jumped the gun at PlayStation today. A few hours ago, the official Twitter account said that Destroy All Humans 2! Reprobed was coming to PlayStation 5 (PS5) and posted a trailer for the remake. The original Destroy All Humans 2! launched on PlayStation 2 and the original Xbox in 2006. While it got average reviews back then, due to its concept, it's now regarded as a cult classic.

The now-deleted trailer showcased the game's larger worlds, new weapons, and focused on two government agents who were laughing maniacally for no apparent reason. As expected, the majority of it focused on our hero Cryptosporidium attacking humans. Destroy All Humans 2! appears to be using the same engine as the first Destroy All Humans! remake so you shouldn't expect a profound boost in terms of visual quality.



If you remember, the first Destroy All Humans! got a remake a year ago too. It's available on Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, and Nintendo Switch. While the leaked PS5 trailer suggests that it's only coming to Sony's console, it's safe to assume that it'll probably end up on every other system too.

Given the fact that someone at PlayStation leaked the reveal, THQ Nordic may bump up the announcement. We'll keep you posted as soon as we know more and which platforms the remake will be available on. For those of you new to the franchise, Destroy All Humans! is basically about stepping into the shoes — or should I say spacesuit — of an alien and murdering as many humans as possible with your superior technology.
