Report: 'Black Ops 2' listing spotted on Amazon France

In an entirely unsurprising turn of events, a listing for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" reportedly popped up on Amazon France this week. GameBlog.fr spotted the listing and grabbed a screenshot (seen above) before it was allegedly pulled, which has resulted in a bit of a kerfuffle between Activision's French arm and the site.

Earlier this year we reported that Activision had already snapped up domain registrations for a variety of Black Ops sequels (all the way up to "Black Ops 6", actually), so the listing on Amazon France doesn't exactly come off as unbelievable. Nor is it a surprise to suppose Activision might want to capitalize on Treyarch's most financially successful -- not to mention critically acclaimed -- Call of Duty titles.

I'm gonna buy this when it comes out :D although the current black ops isn't as good as mw2 or mw3, it still a good/fun game

Vulsions black ops 6? wow whats cod coming to?

It's called making sure nobody makes a fake website.

See: thetechgame.org was referring to the battlefield website before Activision's lawsuit. Oh and modernwarfare4.com is also already registered.

Doesn't mean they'll actually make Black Ops 6.

It just means they are learning from their mistakes.

Ant I found it on the German GameStop website as well listed as 'Call of Duty 9'. It came up when I searched 'Black Ops 2'.

lol, that's weird. but if over the years they are still making a CoD being Called Black Ops 3,4,5,6,7,8, or 9 then that's just sad because they should be able to think of a better name...

They'll probably be releasing the teaser anytime now. MW3 was April, and Black Ops was March. Wouldn't be surprised if other happenings like this appeared else where.

Cant wait to get this game. Didnt like the first but can wait to get it. And see trailers :)
