Report: GAME outs new Need for Speed, reaffirms Medal of Honor sequel

4.6
Someone at British brick-and-mortar franchise Game seems to have confirmed our expectant attitude towards EA's Need for Speed franchise. The British retail outlet's Twitter account documented a trip to EA for a presentation, and casually let slip plans for a new Need for Speed ("Need for Speed 13!"), as well as mentioning the as-yet-unseen Medal of Honor sequel. As Eurogamer reports, the tweet is no longer available, though other volleys from the account confirm the retailer's presence at an EA presentation.

EA has spoken about a Medal of Honor sequel in the past, though this is the first we've heard of it in quite some time. It's said to be developed by EA's Danger Close studio, and we're not sure if Battlefield studio EA DICE will be once more tasked with handling the multiplayer component. Meanwhile, following the pattern of annual Need for Speed releases, it's likely that Burnout studio Criterion will be tasked with the thirteenth (!!) entry in the series.

We've reached out to EA for comment, but aren't expecting much more than some light under its breath cursing.

Update: In response to this report, an EA rep told Joystiq, "We do not comment on rumor or speculation."

I enjoyed playing the campaign of MoH, I'd love to see a sequel!

Medal Of Honor single player story was probably one of the best if not the best in FPS genre because of the fact that it was a true story bro. Might have not had the best Multiplayer but the singleplayer was epic, can't wait for the next one

NFS is still ok but HP3 on PS1=Greatest.

I'm probably the biggest MOH fanboy. I loved the campaign (rare for me nowadays) MP was amazing. Loved the core game mechanics, how the guns felt and shot, very satisfying to get kills. I know MoH 2 will be 10000000x better.

I loved MOH, I thought it was the best shooter game, the only bad part was is that there were never a whole lot of people playing it.

I can't wait for the next one though.

Medal of Honor sequel? HELL YES!!! I loved MoH! As stated by one other person, it was a perfect mix of CoD and BF. Great Campaign. Good multi-player, spite the small ass, spawn trapped maps. I didn't get bored of it until This past December.

Can't wait. :D

MOH seemed like a perfect balance between COD and BF. Can't wait for the next one.
