Xbox 360 has sold over 57 million units worldwide

4.6
Major Nelson has tweeted that Xbox 360 has moved over 57 million units worldwide since it was launched six year ago. The firm reported in its latest financial results that the console moved 2.3 million units for Q1 FY12, and for the last nine months it was the “best-selling” console. Compared to the latest Sony figures from September 30, the Seattle-based firm is ahead of PS3 ‘s 55.5 million units by 1.5 million. When comparing millions, those figures seem close, but if you add Nintendo into the equation, Microsoft and Sony’s sales pale in comparison to Wii, which as of September 30 has moved 89 million units worldwide. Prod3gy-Fanboy Wii is for more casual gamers. Therefore it attracts a larger audience.

On the contrary my friend, most Wii owners are hardcore Zelda, Metroid, And other "Exclusive Only's" games.

though, you are slightly right about the casual gamer.

but i'm going to snowball onto that and say it's aimed more towards the Family console.
