The Crew 2: Year 3 Trailer Introduces Updates Via New Season System

3.8
Starting with The Crew 2: Year 3, Ubisoft will be introducing a host of new updates for the title as well as a new season system to deliver them.

During Ubisoft’s UbiForward presentation, we got a look at new update system that will be implemented for The Crew 2, starting with Year 3. According to the trailer below each of these seasons will drop new content for the game every four months, with every season being split into two different episodes. There’s also a bit of a story teaser featured in said trailer:

The Crew 2‘s new system will start November 2020 with the introduction of MotorFlix, a new TV show company that will hire you for your driving skills. Nothing else has been revealed about MotorFlix, but I imagine new info coming out as we get closer to the The Crew 2: Year 3 launch.

The UbiFoward event also revealed several other surprise announcements. One of them included the triumphant return of the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World video game that was released for the Xbox Arcade and then delisted in 2014. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: Complete Edition is releasing this holiday season on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC via UPlay.

The Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake was also revealed and launches on January 21st on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This was quite the happy announcement for fans of the franchise, as it’s been essentially dormant since 2010 (barring the occasional mobile game and Prince cameo).

Watch Dogs: Legion also received some love, as Ubisoft and rapper Stormzy announced their collaboration for a brand new music video titled “Rainfall,” which will be part of a special mission available at launch. The collab is meant to reflect the diversity of the upcoming title’s latest locale of London.

Ahead of the UbiForward event, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot addressed some of the many controversies the company has encountered in the last few months and gave some plans for meaningful action. Guillemot stated that the company will commit to putting together a million-dollar fund for its graduate program. This will focus on providing opportunities for underrepresented groups including women and people of color. The company is also making a donation to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, though the amount has not been specified.
